At our club meeting we will revisit the need for a Ride Captain, Special Events Coordinator and a Director of Community and Government Relations.
Last month we mentioned the need for Emergency Contacts if you lead rides. Our League of American Bicyclists has a good program where you can become a League Certified Instructor.
I will be attending an all day Retreat in January with ForeverGreen Trails Coalition for the purpose of growing our organization and working toward getting more trails connected.
Our State Legislature will be back in session this month. Many of you are also members of other Outdoor Recreation Groups. You will be asked to lobby for adequate funding for the Recreation and Conservation Office. You may also be asked to lobby for the various Non-motorized transportation programs at our Washington State Department of Transportation.
