Join King County Parks & Recreation Division & Foothills Rails to Trails Coalition at a ground breaking ceremony on Wednesday, January 18th at 3pm at The North End of River Road
We’ll be celebrating and commemorating the start of construction for a bridge linking the Pierce County and King County Regional Trail Systems! The bridge is projected to be open during the Spring/Summer of 2024.
The bridge will support our local economy, increase our tourism, provide more connected outdoor recreation, support our communities health and safety, and nurtures our sense of community.
But what I am super excited about are the opportunity to build strong connections with our neighboring communities as we create a space for trail users along the trail to learn about our environments, share our local charms, and preserve history & culture.
