Greetings my fellow club members. January has been exceptionally dry, but cold. I hope you have been getting out and about.
If you have been a Ride Leader or wish to be a Ride Leader, I hope you can attend our February meeting. Even if you go on rides without an Official Leader, we have information to share about our League Insurance both liability and medical coverage. As mentioned before it is good to have emergency contacts for your group.
At the February meeting, we will be setting dates for our four Event Rides: Daffodil Classic, Peninsula Metric Century, Tour de Pierce and Headwaters Century. Our hope is to have a Ride Leader out front, a mid pack Leader and a Sag Leader at the back.
If you have ideas about putting on overnight camping or motel rides bring them to the meeting. Also, bring your ideas about week-long trips.
This year the popular Pierce County Bike Swap will be on Saturday, April 19 at Tacoma Community College. We need help with our booth and perhaps a Ride Leader from our Proctor Starbucks location. The Sustainability Expo will be on Saturday, April 26 at Tollefson Plaza and UWT from 10 to 3. We will not have a booth.
The popular McClinchy Mile is set for Sunday April 27. The very nice Skagit Classic Century is in May.
We are still looking for a Ride Captain, a Special Events Coordinator and a Director of Community and Government Relations.
Thanks for maintaining your membership and we hope to see you on the trail or road.
