On Saturday, October 21 the club held a Special Membership meeting, which was a Pizza Party, along with a ride beforehand that used the Monday ride route.
Seven riders set out from Starbucks in Proctor – Dan Russo, Kent Koehn, Tom Petroski, John Voigt, Harry Simmons, Bob Myrick and Charlene Dorward. It was a cool morning with a bit of “Scotch mist” which soon disappeared. It was a perfect day for a fall ride.
About 36 members turned up at Joeseppis for the Pizza Party that followed the ride. People renewed old connections and made new ones. In fact, two members (whose wives don’t ride) met for the first time and decided to go on bike tours together.
Eventually we had enough pizza to go around and the party dispersed in the early afternoon.
